Crispian spent eight years as a graphic designer & art director in the advertising industry before forming iKraal, where he initially focused on web and digital design. An interest in camera work grew into a passion, and he has worked as a director of photography around the world. Unusually, he loves both the technical and aesthetic sides of film, in that they both ultimately help the storytelling. He’s equally happy in the field shooting ENG style work, meticulously lighting a stop motion set, or crafting studio based work. From commercials to documentaries, its the variety his job brings that he likes most of all.
